I called out ‘sick’ from work on Monday, needed a day to relax and unwind and I can’t stand my grade 2’s, so anything to get out of teaching them is welcomed. Today at lunch one of my co teachers came up to me in the lunch room and told me that my grade 3’s were sad I wasn’t there and that they wouldn’t have my class for 3 more weeks (I teach high levels 1 week, then middle 1 week, then low 1 week). It made my damn day just a little bit brighter :-)
